The suspect in this case was reported to be a wanted fugitive. The suspect was seen leaving the area in a gray car. Deputies spotted the car leaving Hi Mountain Road near Lopez Drive. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle but the car failed to yield and a short pursuit ensued.
The driver crashed attempting to turn onto Tiffany Ranch Rd. from Orcutt Rd. Two suspects ran from the vehicle after the crash. With the assistance of a Sheriff's Office K9, one of the two suspects was taken into custody near the vehicle crash site.
A second suspect was initially able to get away. A search for the suspect was conducted and with the assistance of a Sheriff's Office K9, the suspect was later found on a nearby property and was taken into custody.
The suspects are identified as 35-year-old Christopher Greenman and 35-year-old Craig Stephens.
Both suspects were found to have outstanding felony warrants. A shot-gun was also found in the car driven by the suspects. Greenman and Stephens were booked on charges related to the vehicle pursuit, resisting arrest, firearms possession, and separate outstanding felony arrest warrants.
