Wanted Felon Arrested

Almond Drive, Whitley GardensVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: Daniel Jay Romo, 25, Paso RoblesOn 5-30-19, a Sheriff's K9 Deputy was in the area of Grace Drive and Ross Drive in Whitley Gardens to respond to a sighting of a wanted felon who had fled from law enforcement earlier this week.
On 5-28-19 a search for 25-year-old Daniel Jay Romo was started near Templeton Middle School after he fled from County Probation Officers and Sheriff's Deputies. At that time, Deputies were unable to locate Romo.
When the K9 Deputy responded to a residence in the Whitley Gardens area where Romo was suspected of hiding out, he again fled from law enforcement. Additional Deputies, County Probation Officers and a CHP helicopter immediately responded and Romo was apprehended and taken into custody near the 500 block of N. Almond Drive.
Romo was booked into County Jail on the active warrants by County Probation.
The Sheriff's Office would like to thank members of the public for getting involved and assisting Deputies with this case which ultimately led to Romo's apprehension and arrest.
