Sheriff's Activities League
Sheriff Parkinson and Santa Margarita community members saw a need for safe afterschool activities for children. The Sheriff's Activities League (SAL) is a program that was created from an idea first introduced at a local town hall meeting.
Our Mission: The San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Activities League is a non-profit program for SLO County youth. The SAL relies on members of law enforcement and the community to volunteer time in order to provide quality educational and recreational activities at no cost to the families we serve. We seek to improve community life, build partnerships between law enforcement, youth and community, and to develop the physical, mental and social capabilities of SLO youth.
As the program grows, we would like to expand it countywide in order to serve as many children as we can, but none of this can be accomplished without the help of volunteers, donations and support from our communities.
