Crime Stoppers

San Luis Obispo's Crime Stoppers is a countywide, non-profit, community program that unites the public, the media, and law enforcement in the fight against crime. The program offers anonymity and cash rewards to citizens who furnish information leading to the arrest and indictment of felony crime offenders. Anonymity overcomes fear of involvement. Cash overcomes penalty.

Crime Stoppers is funded solely by private, tax deductible donations of money, goods, or services from the community, including businesses, corporations, clubs, associations, retailers, and individuals. In addition, Crime Stoppers does not pay for TV or radio time, or for newspaper space. All expenses and airtime costs are absorbed by the cooperating media as a public service. If you would like to help, please call Crime Stoppers today, at 805-549-STOP (7867).

San Luis Obispo County implemented the Crime Stoppers Program in 1982. To date, more than $1,520,258 worth of stolen property and narcotics has been recovered.
