While Deputies were enroute to that location, the California Highway Patrol responded to assist. When the CHP officer arrived on scene, the burglary suspects were still at the location and ran away. After a short foot chase, one of the suspects was apprehended in the nearby area.
Sheriff's Deputies then arrived on scene and observed a related vehicle fleeing the area. Deputies initiated a traffic enforcement stop on the vehicle and detained the driver and sole occupant.
Detectives from the Sheriff's Office responded to the location to assist with the investigation. During the preliminary investigation, detectives determined that the driver of the vehicle stopped by deputies was connected to the pharmacy burglary, based on evidence found inside the vehicle.
Detectives were also able to identify the same suspects as being responsible for another burglary of a pharmacy, located in the 1300 block of Las Tablas Road in Templeton. It is believed the burglary in Templeton occurred earlier this morning prior to the one in Nipomo.
The suspects have been identified as Andre Story, 32 years of age, from the Los Angeles area and Brandon Williams, 41 years of age, also from the Los Angeles area. Both were booked into custody at the San Luis Obispo County Jail for charges of burglary and conspiracy.
The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the California Highway Patrol for their assistance with the response and apprehension of one of the suspects. Anyone with information on this incident can contact the Sheriff's Office Detective Division at (805) 781-4500.
