Burglary Suspect Apprehended

Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781-4547Date and time of incident: 6-11-19, Approximately 4:00 PMPlace of Occurrence: 1300 block of Encinas Drive, Los OsosVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: Ezra Nehemiah Hill, 23, OceanoOn 6-11-19, a Sheriff's Deputy responded to a burglary which had just occurred in the 1300 block of Encinas Drive in Los Osos.
When the Deputy arrived, the owners of the home reported a room in the house had been ransacked and medications and money had been taken. Several neighbors reported seeing a young man earlier in the day who was knocking on doors and acting suspicious. One neighbor was able to share a photo of the suspect and spread it throughout the area using a neighborhood social network app.
At approximately the same time, additional Deputies were involved in a foot pursuit several blocks away in the 2100 block of Ferrell Avenue with a man matching the description of the burglary suspect. Deputies were able to catch the suspect and arrest him. During his arrest, Deputies discovered the suspect was in possession of the stolen property from the Encinas Drive home.
He's been identified as 23-year-old Ezra Nehemiah Hill of Oceano. He was booked into county jail for burglary, resisting a peace officer, and probation violations.
The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the neighbors who got involved by sharing photos and information which led to the apprehension of a burglary suspect.
