Canine (K9) Unit

The purpose of the Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit is to support agency operations by providing the expertise necessary to effectively search for outstanding suspects, persons, narcotics, Explosive Ordinance Device (EOD) detection, and evidence while enhancing officer safety and providing outstanding service to the community. The K9 Unit is comprised of six Handler/Canine Teams.
