Compliance Division

The Sheriff’s Office Compliance Division is responsible for all department-issued permits, licensing, registration, and the compliance of legal cannabis operations within the unincorporated areas of San Luis Obispo County. The division handles the oversight of carry concealed weapons (CCW) permits, explosive permits, business licenses, cannabis operations monitoring, and the registration of gang, arson, and sex offenders. Additionally, the Compliance Division provides fingerprinting services to the public.
