Coroner's Office

The purpose of the Coroner’s Office is to investigate and determine the manner and cause of death. The Coroner’s Office investigates all deaths that are suspicious, unexpected, unnatural, and unattended. Death investigations are conducted on all apparent homicides, suicides, suspicious, unexplained, and accidental deaths.  The investigation can range from a full in-depth autopsy to a review of medical records depending on the circumstances of the case.
