Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT)

The Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) is a specialized group of trained law enforcement personnel who responds to barricade incidents, hostage situations, or threats of self harm, with the goal of providing a peaceful resolution.

All negotiators must complete a rigorous FBI Negotiator course prior to working on the team. In addition, they received roughly 40 hours of training for strategic communication, and specialized trainings focused on: veterans, troubled youth, suicide prevention and mental illness.

For more information about the Crisis Negotiation Team and what they have been up to this year, take a look at our Annual Report.
